Insurance

I am not in-network with any insurance companies, and my practice operates on a private-pay basis.

Private pay allows greater privacy, as your healthcare information is not shared with third parties, and a formal diagnosis is not always required. Although I do not bill insurance directly, many clients can seek out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance providers. Through the client portal, you will have access to a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that Superbills cannot be provided for no-shows or late cancellations.

  • Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?

What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met so far?

Once my deductible is met, what percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?

My provider charges $175.00 per session. How much would I be reimbursed foreach session?

How do I submit a Superbill?

How long does it typically take for a reimbursement claim to be processed, and how will I receive payment?

In certain cases, insurance companies may offer an Out-of-Network Request, which allows clients to receive in-network reimbursement rates for services provided by an out-of-network clinician. These agreements are typically considered when no in-network providers are available who specialize in the client’s specific needs or location, or when a client has been receiving care from a trusted provider and wishes to continue services for clinical reasons. If your insurance company offers this option, I am happy to provide the necessary documentation to support your request.

  • Does my insurance plan offer an Out-of-Network Request that would allow me to receive in-network reimbursement for services with an out-of-network provider?

What criteria must be met to qualify for this type of agreement, and what documentation is required from my provider to support this request?

Payment

I operate as a private-pay practice and accept credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. This includes Visa, Master card, American Express, and Discover.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to inform clients who are not using insurance of their right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services. You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling any services with my practice or any time before your first appointment. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
